Outdoorec is always applying new technology to what we love – the great outdoors! With the recent developments in generative pre-trained transformer (GPT), we decided to give OpenAI’s chatGPT a try. Well all we can say is ‘wow!’ By seeding the tool with content provided by one of our Outdoorec friends we were able to generate a simple blog in a few seconds. This low threshold, high yield experiment provides quality content with little cost. In the following example, I’ve inserted the images for a balanced article and added hyperlinks for cross-linking, but used chatGPT to generate the remaining content. Using a simple paragraph, chatGPT was able to return a readable and enticing blog that’s worth a read. We’re excited about the possibilities that this tool can bring to outdoor recreation services, where time and resources are at a premium.
